Preliminary information on Neepawa’s new budget was discussed by council on Tuesday, Mar. 14. Mayor Adrian de Groot noted that those deliberations are on schedule. He added that public feedback through surveys and other input, as well as suggestions from town administration, have been very helpful in the process to this point. De Groot also announced the recipients of the town’s annual grants. These grants were unveiled this early in the process in order to allow the organizations time to do any budget planning required. The recipients were:

Neepawa Natives fall to Pistons in six

The post season run of the Neepawa Natives has come to an end, as they were downed by the Steinbach Pistons on Monday, Mar. 20, by the score of 3-1. The game, played at the Yellowhead Arena, was a great back and forth battle between the two clubs with the final outcome remaining uncertain until the very end.

The Most Reverend Archbishop Richard Joseph Gagnon, the Seventh Archbishop of Winnipeg, visited St. Dominic’s Roman Catholic Church in Neepawa on Sun., Mar. 12, to perform a special blessing of the main sanctuary now that the church’s roof construction has been completed.
