Much like the stuffed toys that rained down upon them during the Portage Terriers annual Teddy Bear Toss on Saturday, Nov. 26, the losses continue to pile up for the Neepawa Natives. The MJHL club dropped a pair last weekend, first at home to Virden on Friday, Nov. 25 by the score of 3-2. Less than 24 hours later, Neepawa was upended in Portage la Prairie 7-4.

While 16,000 people packed the MTS Centre for WE Day on Nov. 18, the previous evening’s event was a little more intimate.  Prior to WE Day, 150 students and teachers were invited to special dinner honouring the province’s most giving schools and students. NACI’s HOPE group, which has donated $25,000 to global projects and another $10,000 to local projects in recent year, was invited.

Krzyzaniak selected to Team Canada

Neepawa’s Halli Krzyzaniak will represent Team Canada at a pair of upcoming hockey events. She’ll be part of the rosters for the National Women’s team and Canada’s National Women’s development team at a two game series in December versus the United States and at the Nations Cup in the new year.
