An early lead and outstanding 51 save effort from goaltender Brady Plett were not enough for the Neepawa Farmers, as they fell to the Boissevain Border Kings 5-3 on Friday, Nov. 18, in Boissevain. Neepawa jumped out to the 1-0 advantage quickly in this Tiger Hills Hockey League showdown, as Cam Tibbett scored just 1:20 into the opening period.

Some of the top female teams in bantam and midget hockey assembled in Neepawa this past weekend for the second annual Keith Jordan Memorial Tournament. The event, which is named after the well respected local minor hockey official, who passed away in 2015, featured teams from Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Neepawa was represented by the Natives Bantam and Midget girls squads. In the Bantam category, a team from Regina claimed the banner, defeating Carman 5-0 in the championship game, while a club from Birtle/Hamiota blanked Melita 3-0 in the Midget final. As for Neepawa, their results were as follows:

Nine people have lost their lives as a result of traffic incidents over the past several weeks on Manitoba roads.
Now, the RCMP in Manitoba and specifically, the Spruce Plains RCMP, which polices the communities of Gladstone, Neepawa and Minnedosa, are speaking out to urge the motoring public to be safe and smart behind the wheel.
