All clear at HyLife after evacuation

HyLife employees in Neepawa recently received an unexpected mid-shift break, as the facility had to be temporarily evacuated. Representatives with the company have confirmed that at approximately 6:20 pm on Wednesday, Sept. 14, a potentially hazardous condition was discovered within the plant’s piping systems.

Famine mentality is a new phrase for me. I just heard it in the past few days. I have heard of poverty mentality and I think it’s nearly the same thing. Poverty is something that should not exist in Canada nor should it exist in anyone’s mindset in this country. In other countries, it probably shouldn’t exist either but I don’t know a lot about other countries. I have only travelled on a very limited basis in Korea and the United States. But Canada I do know and western Canada I know pretty well. I know Manitoba and western Manitoba very well.

Pelechaty forced to retire

The promising on-ice career of Jared Pelechaty has come to an abrupt end. The 17-year-old defencemen, who played 39 game for the Neepawa Natives last season, has announced via Twitter that he must retire from the game.

The Neepawa Natives will be sporting a slightly different look on the ice this year, as the junior ‘A’ club has introduced a new road sweater for the 2016-2017 Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) season.
