As interest in volleyball continues to spike across Westman, young athletes from across the region have gathered in Neepawa this week for the Dig It Westman Volleyball Camp.

Earl Murray received word last week that he had placed himself third in a Firestone tire-selling contest embracing all of Canada. The contest lasted two months, ending August 15.

Clearing the way for new development

For a couple months, there’s been a sign by the former Neepawa Plumbing and Heating building on the corner of 1st Ave. and Mill St. advertising a new senior’s housing complex ‘coming soon’. On Aug. 17, the project got underway, by demolishing the existing building.
