Rivers Comets had a bit of a rough week as they suited up for three games, but couldn’t come away victorious. In their first game on July 21 Comets held a 2-0 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth inning before giving up the eventual tying runs and losing to Brandon Marlins, 3-2, in the bottom of the seventh on a walk off single. Ryan Shaw once again pitched excellently, minimizing damage and only allowing one earned run in a complete game effort. He struck out eight batters and also hit two doubles at the plate. Mike McFadden went three for four at the dish for the Comets.

This year, following the annual Age Class Championship track meet in June, she was once again selected for Team Manitoba. This weekend she is in Regina competing in the Western Canadian Challenge and like last year, is again in relay, 100 and 200 metres.
