RME/Neepawa Natives pancake brunch a success

A pancake fundraiser has rustled up some extra support for the Neepawa Natives. The community brunch, held on Tuesday, Feb 16 was organized and hosted by Rocky Mountain Equipment. RME is also serving as the game sponsor for the Native’s next home game on Wednesday, Feb. 17 against the Selkirk Steelers.

Tigers blank Devils to begin playoffs

The Neepawa Tigers hockey team appears to have found its ‘A’ game at just the right time. After winning its final two games of the Westman High School Hockey League regular season, the club maintained that momentum into the playoffs, defeating the Melita/Waskada Devils 5-0.
Fundraising under way for new HMK play structure

Hazel M. Kellington School (HMK) in Neepawa is looking to make some upgrades that the students can have fun with. The play structure on the south playground has seen its fair share of action, so the school is starting to make plans to replace it. They have gotten quotes from a few different companies and estimate the cost to be between $80,000 and $90,000.
