Auto accident north of Neepawa

One person was injured from a single vehicle accident north of Neepawa on Tuesday morning. An investigation into the exact cause of the accident is underway, though an eyewitness suggested that the vehicle may have hit a patch of ice as it travelled north on Highway 5 and slid into a hydro pole. Those details however, as well as the extent of the injuries to the driver have not been confirmed by emergency and police officials at this time.

Future of recreation in Neepawa examined

The future of recreational facilities and services in Neepawa has received a closer examination. An invitational meeting on the topic was held Thursday, Nov. 26, at the town office and included representatives from various local organizations. The event was an effort to discuss the long term recreational needs of the community and how to best address them.

The Neepawa Farmers have improved their regular season record to 9-1, with an impressive 7-3 win over the Deloraine Royals. The game, held on Saturday, Nov. 28 at the Yellowhead Centre, would see Neepawa control the majority of the action versus the defending Tiger Hills Hockey League champions.
