If moral victories counted in the MJHL standings, the Neepawa Natives would be right in the thick of things. Unfortunately, they don't and the Natives must settle for another defeat, this time to Canada's top junior 'A' team, the Portage Terriers by a 4-1 score.

Recent Winnipeg mayoral candidate Robert Falcon-Ouelette, spoke on Friday to the Neepawa Rotary Club. In what was described by some as the best speech ever, Falcon-Ouelette outlined some of his vision for the future of Winnipeg and Manitoba.

It is no surprise for Manitoba drivers that ice and snow affect the roadways. What may be surprising, however, is how some simple changes in driving habits can make a big difference to your safety while driving in winter conditions. Habits that drivers have on dry roads could have serious consequences if practiced on icy or snow-covered roadways.

The Neepawa Natives put in a strong effort in Winnipeg on Thursday night, but were still unable to come away with a victory, as the Blues scored three goals in the third period to secure a 5-3 win.
