The government of Canada has a number of financial disasters on its hands. Some are ongoing like the CBC that sucks up $1.3 billion a year in taxpayers money. The new edition of the Banner & Press featured an update on the Neepawa Newcomers Coat Room project, new LED lights installed downtown in Neepawa and some potential bad news for the area's Handi-Van program.

To go along with those stories, we also have a page looking back at Neepawa's Lions Club and more local results from the MB Summer Games.

Those stories and more in the Aug. 30 edition of the Neepawa Banner & Press.
