The candidates for town council in Minnedosa outlined their future vision for the community on Monday, Oct. 15 at a municipal forum. The event was organized by the Minnedosa Chamber of Commerce and staged at Tanner’s Crossing School. Just under 100 people were in attendance and used the night as a chance to learn more about the individuals who will represent them for the next four years.

Adrian de Groot is very pleased with the progress that’s been made in Neepawa over the past four years. He’s hoping to stick around for the next four years to see just how it all plays out. Earlier this week, the incumbent mayor of Neepawa confirmed that he will seek a second term in this fall’s municipal election.

On Dec. 4, 2017, Cathy Cox, the provincial minister of sport, heritage and recreation, tabled Bill 8, The Government Notices Modernization Act, for first reading in the Manitoba legislature. It was recently given second reading in the Legislature and could soon be enacted as law.
