The improved website was a collaborative effort between the town and Insightrix Research, a Saskatchewan based company.

A project that has been a year in the making has made its debut, as the town of Neepawa has launched its newly designed website. The revised, more user-friendly site replaced the previous one, which had been in use for the past decade.

Homer Gill managed the 1956-57 Tom Thumb team and won two Provincial Bantam BB titles with 1957-58 and the 1960-61 teams. Homer's career was mostly teaching. He was responsible for keeping the school hockey program going after the departure of Mr. McAmmond and Ruth Faryon. Homer was involved in the insurance and real estate business. He married Wilma Steppler and had one child. Homer passed away in 2014.

70 Years Ago - Tuesday, January 9, 1947: Franklin School Rink takes provincial title; wins trip to Saskatoon. Don Montgomery’s Franklin High School Rink won the right to represent Manitoba in the inter-provincial curling competition at Saskatoon.

The Neepawa Fire Department has added a new vehicle to its fleet. The 2016 International pumper truck, which was ordered from Fort Garry Fire Trucks of Winnipeg, arrived just before the end of the year.
