Massive changes have been made at Neepawa Access Television (NACTV). Just under 30 people attended the non-profit organization’s annual general meeting at the Neepawa Library on Tuesday, Nov. 1. Perhaps some of them were simply there hoping to see fireworks similar to those that occurred during the 2015 AGM, when the board chair was ousted during what turned into a very combustable get-together. While there were no such theatrics this year, that doesn’t mean that there were not some dramatic decisions made on the future of the station.

Dauphin eliminates Neepawa from RMFL playoffs

A magnificent aerial performance by quarterback Dylan Oshanyk was not enough for the Neepawa Tigers, as the team’s playoff hopes came to an end at the hands of the Dauphin Clippers. The top ranked Clippers (6-0-0) were able to notch four offensive touchdowns to claim the 42-20 win on Saturday, Oct. 29 in Rural Manitoba Football League (RMFL) playoff action.

Open house held to shape future of the Neepawa area

Last week, Neepawa and area residents had the chance to voice their thoughts on the community’s future.  On Oct. 27, the Neepawa and Area Planning District (NAPD) hosted an open house and visioning workshop as part of their development plan review process.  The new plan will apply to all three NAPD partner municipalities: the Town of Neepawa, the RM of Rosedale and the Municipality of Glenella-Lansdowne.
