The Neepawa Farmers didn’t get the end result they were hoping for in their home opener, as the team was defeated by the Cartwright Clippers 6-4. The game, played on Sunday, Oct. 30, was the second of the Tiger Hills Hockey League (THHL) season for Neepawa, as the club won on the road against Deloraine the previous weekend. The Farmers were looking to keep that momentum going in the friendly confines of the Yellowhead Centre. It would be the Clippers, however, who jumped out to the early advantage, with a goal just 4:34 left in the opening period to make it 1-0.
