On Sept. 8, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Neepawa RCMP observed a vehicle travelling on road 84N in the RM of Minto-Odanah. The male driver was known to police to operate a motor vehicle while disqualified in the past. The vehicle was stopped and it was confirmed that the male was in fact prohibited from driving in Canada.

Models rock the runway at the Erma & Louise Fall Fashion Show

Glitz and glamour seemed to be the theme of the night at the Erma & Louise Fall Fashion Show at Kerreen’s Clothing, on Oct. 13.

More than 50 people attended the show, put on by store owner Maureen Turner and named after the late Erma Stuart, who passed away in late September after battling cancer valiantly, and Louise Kostenchuk, whose continued fight against the disease has inspired so many.

Feeding the hungry, one meal at a time

Farm Credit Canada (FCC)’s food drive, Drive Away Hunger, is now officially over. Having started on May 9 and ended on Oct. 14, Drive Away Hunger received over 11,000 meals worth of donations from across the Neepawa, Minnedosa and Carberry areas.

Flu vaccine free to all Manitobans

Every year, the flu season in Manitoba begins in late fall and usually lasts until spring.  For 2016-2017, the flu vaccine is available free of charge to all Manitobans.  It offers protection against four flu virus strains, including H1N1. Prairie Mountain Health launches its flu campaign during the last week of October.
