Thumbs down to whoever destroyed the planters in front of Brimont and ArtsForward this weekend. The Girl Guides and the Horticultural Society planted them and they were just beautiful! Luckily, I don’t think any of the other big planters were destroyed.

Whether they agree with his politics or not, Errick Willis, new Conservative leader in Manitoba, will create an interest in town Wednesday night at the rink, where he will address the electors in the interest of Dr. J. S. Poole. Few of the districts have ever heard or seen him.

Wild summer reading at the local library

The Neepawa Public Library is in the midst of its annual summer reading program. Having started on June 20, the program is well on its way, but it’s not too late to jump in before the 2016 program ends on August 19.
Neepawa Cubs heading into playoffs on a roll

The Neepawa Cubs have closed out the Santa Clara Baseball League’s regular season with a pair of important wins. The club returned home for a showdown with the Dauphin Brewers on Tuesday, July 6. This was the first home game for Neepawa since June 10, as the team’s last five games were all on the road.
