“We” have been told a lot of things that rural people instinctively knew were wrong. Here’s a partial list of wrong things we have been told.

•Rural life is not a good thing, city life should be our goal.

•Farming is not a good career.

•Bigger is better. Bigger cities, larger apartment blocks, bigger care homes, larger buses and commuter trains, bigger airplanes and  cruise ships.

1:22 p.m. Zero COVID-19 cases in Manitoba for a third straight day 

Public health officials advise no new cases of COVID-19 have been identified as of 9:30 a.m. today. The total number of lab-confirmed positive and probable positive cases in Manitoba is 289.

The data also shows:
•    three individuals are currently hospitalized, with one individual in intensive care; 
•    28 active cases and 254 individuals who have recovered from COVID-19; and
•    the number of deaths due to COVID-19 remains at seven.

As of yesterday, an additional 814 laboratory tests were performed. This brings the total number of tests performed since early February to 33,045.
