In total, the Victoria’s Quilts Canada St. Patrick’s Day fundraiser served lunch to 170 people, although Daphne Hall, one of the organizers, said that many others bought tickets in order to support the organization. Hall said of the turn out, “It was wonderful, we had so much support, we were overwhelmed... I can’t believe the support from the community.”

An incredible last minute effort from the Neepawa Tigers varsity girls basketball team would not be enough to secure the Provincial ‘AA’ championship, as the team fell to the Souris Sabres on Saturday, Mar. 19, 77-63 in overtime.
