Neepawa highway could use the Cranbrook solution

Since 2000, Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation (MIT) has been promising a solution to traffic congestion on Highway 16 through Neepawa. The proposed solution involves a widened four lane highway, a number of rear access roads and a widening of the roadbed which would eliminate the trees.
Lily Festival future will be decided next week

This year marked the Neepawa and Area Lily Festival’s 18th year and with it, the retirement of over half the festival committee’s board. On Monday, the future of the festival will be discussed and decided at a public meeting which will give anyone wanting get involved the chance to come forward.
HyLife employees meet with Union reps

Representatives with HyLife Foods and the employees’ union will soon sit down and start negotiating a new deal. The current five-year contract is set to expire at the end of the year. UFCW Local 832 represents employees at the Neepawa plant and held a series of proposal meeting with its members on Sept 18.
Terriers top Natives

The Wednesday night game against the Portage Terriers was the first true test of the MJHL season for the Neepawa Natives. Unfortunately, the Natives were unable to escape the PCU Centre in Portage la Prairie with a passing grade, losing to the Terriers 5-1.
